School Behaviour Support and Consultation Services
Individual Pupil Support

- please get in contact to discuss exact requirements and costs

Utilising twenty-three years of experience in education as a teacher, middle leader, senior leader and head teacher, Seaside Learning can offer support to individual young people within their school setting who are struggling to engage appropriately or consistently in school.

Starting with observations of the young person through a ‘fresh lens’, this approach can provide an extremely valuable insight into the way in which the young person engages with their school experience, including the learning and their relationship between adults and their peers. From the observations and subsequent discussions with relevant staff members, ideas will be shared that will enhance the provision for the young person within the current school setting.

Follow-up observations at appropriate points will help monitor the young person’s subsequent progress and help support any further adjustments to provision that are required.

Whole School Behaviour Review

- please get in contact to discuss exact requirements and costs

From experience, we know only too well at Seaside Learning that sometimes the culture of behaviour in a school can frequently move and shift as the pupil population changes, as does the profile of staff within the school setting. Leading and working in a school, day in and day out, can make reflecting on whole school aspects challenging.

Seaside Learning can support schools and school leaders by exploring the culture of the school through observations of children’s attitudes towards learning. This combined with speaking to staff, children and families of the school and doing so alongside the school behaviour policy, will provide a very well-rounded review of the current behavioural context of a school.

Once evidence has been gathered in all its forms, a plan will be created in conjunction with relevant staff to help focus the school and leaders on making manageable and realistic adjustments to both policy and provision and a time frame to work to in the implementation of agreed adjustments.

This non-judgemental, non-threatening and collaborative approach can be invaluable for a school in taking time to look at current practices and make the adjustments needed to see the improvements desired.
